With less than a week to go until one of the most unique events The Study has ever seen, we had to share our excitement. World famous piano makers Steinway & Sons are going to be taking over the space, with two pianos and a whole series of concerts.
To celebrate their 160th Anniversary, renowned furniture designer Dakota Jackson has teamed up with Steinway & Sons to produce 50 Limited Edition Arabesque Pianos, a masterpiece which is the perfect combination of artistic vision and impeccable craftsmanship. The design channels the balletic nature of its name; graceful, elegant and refined.
Two of the incredible pianos will be making The Study their home for the week, treating the public to a series of intimate concerts throughout the day and evening.
“The pop-up performance space gives members of the public a once in a lifetime chance to see these incredible instruments close-up,” commented Craig Terry, managing director of Steinway & Sons UK.
“The pianos were created to celebrate the company’s 160th anniversary and together with Dakota Jackson, we have created an instrument at the highest levels of both design and musicality. The two limited edition pianos have never been in the same room, let alone played together so this week-long series really is something very special.”
We champion the way Steinway & Sons are bringing these pianos to a wider audience by making these concerts accessible and convenient, and most importantly all about the music. It will be a wonderful experience and we are thrilled to be involved; make sure you are too!
