After weeks of planning, prepping and healthy thinking, this weekend saw Sheridan&Co host the first ever Little Shop of Health when The Study, in Marylebone, was taken over by 9 health orientated brands. The carefully curated mix covered food, drink and beauty- complementing each other in a healthy holistic way.

Unoco was on the bar, serving cool pink coconut water- completely raw, natural and pure it is one of a kind. Rude Health had their impressing array of products from oatcakes to museli on sale and were trialling testers of their new pumpkin and beetroot bars, offering their customers a chance to have a say in their product development. Organic Burst impressed with their colourful display of fantastic supplements from Spirulina to Acai Berry, and we in the office have really been feeling the ‘burst’! Lucy Bee demonstrated the versatility of their organic pure coconut oil by treating us with peanut bites, whilst Arganic were sampling both their delicious nutty cooking oil and their luxurious cosmetic product used for both hair and skin. Another cosmetic indulgence was here in the form of SuperfoodLX, a haircare brand who takes the notion of super nutritious superfoods into haircare. Plenish, with their amazing rotating fridge, were sampling and selling their refreshing juices; or if you fancied something more indulgent, Rebel Kitchen had their delicious dairy free chocolate ‘mylks’ made from coconut water and cacao. And last but by no means least, we had Punch Foods with little taster shots of their delicious organic and gluten and dairy free flavoured seeds.

To complement these fantastic sellers, we wanted to create even more of a buzz about the space- so invited a number of speakers to share some insights about living a healthy and happy life. Nutritionists Owen Bain, Rosie Millen and Eve Kalinik gave educative advice on how the foods we eat directly effect our bodies and minds, Ella Woodward, founder of Deliciously Ella, talked about overcoming her health problems through clean eating, Monique Borst helped us get the most out of our spare time, whilst Nikki Sharpe, Saskia and Sadie from Hip and Healthy and Dana Elemara showed us just how health works from the inside out, making us look and feel more beautiful. They were all so inspiring and we received a fantastic response with our live projected twitter feed going mad!

Petrina from Lucy Bee kindly said this about the event; “The location was great, plenty of space…it was just right with the number of companies attending as we all had space but nothing wasted. It worked particularly well with the speakers as this encouraged customers to come along and then gave us the opportunity to chat with them.”

Kara from Plenish Cleanse also noted the importance of the communication with their consumer; “This was a great opportunity. As we sell online and via retailers, we rarely get the chance to speak to the client during their purchasing decisions, and help shed light on the benefits of cold pressed juice vs traditional juice. We had some nice sales, but more importantly, it was a great opportunity to get direct feedback from consumers, chat to other likeminded brands and spread the love of cold pressed juice to an audience clearly interested in health & nutrition!”

And it was this community feeling that was so tangible throughout the whole weekend. Nikki Sharpe, healthy lifestyle guru shared this with her 230,000 followers on instagram; “I have to give a HUGE shout out to The Little Shop of Health in London this weekend. I was a guest speaker on both days and it was beyond inspiring. Thank you to everyone I met, spoke to…I feel so much love from this weekend and I am just in so much awe.”

We would like to take a moment to say the hugest of thank you’s to all the speakers who inspired, educated and influenced us all. And of course, a MASSIVE thank you to the fantastic brands and their representatives who spent all weekend keeping us satisfied with lovely guilt-free treats!
