About the role

Sheridan&Co is a leading global retail design agency partnering with world famous luxury retail partners to bring their brands to life. The luxury retail niche is going from strength to strength, with ever changing client needs. We are looking for an experienced Creative General Manager to ensure the creative operations of the business align with the vision of the company.

You will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the creative services, working with the Director and the Managing Director to ensure that the best creative output is achieved while productivity is high and deadlines are met. You will develop strategies and processes to increase productivity, improve the service, ensure sustainability, and meet business objectives.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the creative services, adapting to changes within the business, delegating work across teams to keep workflow moving, developing quality standards and measuring performance against production and sales. You will support with developing a network of collaborators, partners and talents to provide the best creative vision and to manage resource. As you will be closely involved in the work moving through the creative services, experience of design within the retail sector is essential for this role.

You will provide a key level of support to the Director, attending client meetings, taking briefs, liaising with clients in the early stages of project, attending networking events and engaging with new contacts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement a model and working process for our Creative and Strategic offer.
  • Work with the Director to ensure exceptional standard and quality of all Creative work.
  • Display a strategic approach to all aspects of planning, considering both short-term and longer-term so that the business is prepared to flex and adapt to any changes in the wider climate.
  • Supporting the Director with the Account Management of the New Business, Creative and Strategic work.

About You

  • Experience of working within a creative agency/studio is essential.
  • Experience of design within the retail sector is essential for this role
  • Experience of developing and implementing creative processes and guiding creative work through the business
  • Ability to balance creative demands against strategy, profitability and operations
  • A strong understanding of budgets, planning and forecasts
  • Leadership and mentoring abilities while still being hands on, with the ability to build, maintain and lead a diverse network of skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across the business and with a network of suppliers
