An opportunity has arisen within our Head Office in Market Harborough for a Project Manager Design Engineer to join the team.
This role will provide technical design development alongside project management of a project from initial brief through to delivery and installation.
The Project Manager Design Engineer will work closely with the Operations Manager and Workshop team in relation to technical development on a project and will support with identifying any risks/issues that may affect the manufacture, timelines or costs associated with a project.
This role will provide invaluable feedback to the Operations Manager and Workshop team on practical prototype development and testing, including assessing sample products/finishes and will report the findings to the internal Client Services team for client feedback.
The Project Manager Design Engineer will provide technical design development and drawings for production procurement and manufacture for both in-house and external suppliers, and will be responsible for liaising with the relevant parties throughout the production phase of the project.
All aspects of Project Management such as managing the project timelines, costs and margins, liaising with suppliers are essential to this role, and excellent communication will be required to ensure that all relevant individuals working on the project are kept informed throughout the project process. It is the responsibility of the Project Manager Design Engineer to ensure that all relevant parties are aware of any delays or difficulties which may affect the delivery, quality or cost of the project, and so pro-active communication is key to ensuring that we are providing a solution-driven service.
